- Immediate Emergency Alerts

Man-Down Detection: If a firefighter is motionless for 15-30 seconds, PASS activates a 105+ dB alarm and flashing lights to signal distress. Please note that Muskwell Digital Alert also available with this function.
Manual Activation: Firefighters can trigger it manually if trapped or disoriented.
- Enhanced Visibility & Audibility

High-Decibel Alarm: Cuts through fireground noise (e.g., roaring flames, machinery).
Strobe Lights: Helps locate firefighters in smoke-filled or dark environments.
- Compliance with Safety Standards

NFPA 1982: Mandates PASS integration in SCBA systems for structural firefighting.
OSHA 1910.134: Requires alarms for respiratory protection in IDLH (Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health) environments.
- Search & Rescue Efficiency

Rapid Location: Teams can pinpoint downed firefighters faster using the alarm’s sound/light.
Reduces Response Time: Critical for survival in “mayday” scenarios.
- Automatic vs. Manual Modes

Auto-On: Activates when SCBA air supply is opened. For example the Muskwell digital alert, MSA motionSCOUT etc. This stand-alone personal alert safety systems detects the cessation of bodily movement and activates an automatic alarm. For enhanced safety the alarm can be activated manually also. It is extremely simple to use. The sensitive, electronic motion sensor recognises all normal body Movements. Maintenance-free and durable – the motionSCOUT guarantees a great cost-performance-ratio. The operating time is extremely high being >200 hours, same as the alarm time of 10 hours continuous sound.
Manual Mode: Allows testing or deliberate activation (e.g., during training).
- Key Features of Modern PASS

✔ Motion Sensors – Detects lack of movement.
✔ Water/Heat Resistance – Works in extreme conditions.
✔ Low-Battery Alerts – Ensures reliability.
